The Assistive Devices Program (ADP) helps people with long-term physical disabilities pay for customized equipment, like rollator walkers. Our physiotherapist, Nicole Anstett, is a registered authorizer with ADP for mobility devices. If a person has a disability requiring the use of a mobility device for over 6 months they may qualify for funding for 75% of the device. In order for approval, a physiotherapy assessment is required to determine the need for a walker and which type would be appropriate. An application is filled out to bring to a business that sells walkers and is also registered with ADP.
